Profile: Andy Boyce

Personal background
I'm a forty-four year old Charge Nurse from an Accident & Emergency Department (ER) in West Sussex, England. I'm married to Jenny and have no children. I prefer to borrow family children and return them when I get fed up of them!!

My main hobby is computing in all it's forms and my second hobby is eating to excess.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've read the statistics and seen Drake's equation, so I think that extraterrestial life must exist somewhere though I have no idea in what form. If they are technologically more advanced than us, then I feel they must have endured their warlike phase (if indeed they had one) and can only benefit us in terms of trade, technology, and a lowering of our supposed superiority.

I run SETI@home because I get a kick out of being part of such a massive project, and you never know, it might just succeed!
