Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have currently 4 computers running Seti@Home BOINC. All P4 2GHz Dell workstations, very nicely donated by Intel for my work on their IXP2400 Network Processors. Two of them are running Gentoo linux with the latest(ish) 2.6 kernel, and support my development and evaluation work for my PhD. One runs OSx86 very nicely and is my main uni desktop. I also have one at home running FreeBSD 6 acting as my ADSL gateway and file server for my home network.
