Personal background
Hi fello Seti'ans...

I am from Sydney Australia, am into Databases and working in OMNIS. I love to explore things, places, ideas etc...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti@home is a nice indeed project and hopefully they will find life on other planets, or maybe they have found but have not yet told (X-Files! ;-))

If GOD created Earth, then he must have created others that harbour life. Its jsut the matter of how to find it, and does life itself have another meaning, are we looking in all wrong places?!? Should we look at rocks and trust it to be a living thing?? Will other life forms be premitive and/or evolved, will they be peaceful or barbarians??? Questions are best left for speculations and thinkers... (like me!)

If other beings would be looking for life on other planets then what information should we beacon that will make them look at it...? According to me the beacon should be definately a repeating pattern of signals. kinda like SOS, if its a repeating pattern like none other then the beacon sould attract some intrest. Plus whats in a beacon if you have to wait for hours for a complete set of information to process. Thus it should be short yet complicated enough to distinguish between a universal background pulse and an intelligent (or Dumb!) life form

Some day I believe in my lifetime I'll find out if we are alone?!? till then I'll try and run Seti@Home to figure out the unkown...ddd
