Profile: Rod C. Venger

Personal background
Born in Pasadena, California, during a much saner and safer time in our history. 1956. I attended Woodland Hills Elementary, Parkman Junior High as well as Canoga Park High. I graduated at age 15 years, 2 months. That ended in 1973. I left for awhile, came back and joined the Air Force in 1978. I was discharged in 1982 and decided to stay in Colorado Springs and have lived here ever since.

I run SETI full time on various machines.i JUST SUNK 800.00 IN UPGRADES INTO THE MACHINE just so my workunits would run faster. Sorry about the caps lock. Seti seems like a metaphor of my life...it's being used in order to keep the whole from simply sitting there doing nothing.

I shoot competitively. I handload all my own ammunition. Being disabled, and unable to run marathons, I find that handloading fills my time up very well.

THEY are almost surely out there. It would be best if they were not too advanced. An advanced people could well see Humanity as a virus, killing the organism on which it lives. Our first meeting with THEM could very well be our last. -Rod-
