| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I know about SETI@home project since 2001. That's a great idea to share my PC's computing power, which I cannot use, for such research. I think it's the future of science researches: dispersed computing.
My friends, when I asked them to participate in the project, just told me "what can I get by this"? I replied "satisfaction".
I believe that we are not alone in the space. Someday we will be able to contact the extra-terrastial civilizations. The question is who will contact first; we or THEY. Maybe thanks to SETI project we can be the first being in this space - dialogue. |
