Personal background
I am from Ipswich, Suffolk in the UK. My age is 53 and i work for a large insurance company. My main hobby is cross-stitch, I am totally addicted to this hobby and who knows maybe one day i will be able to stitch ET!
I am a mother and grandmother and i have always had an interest in ufo's and have even seen one about 30 years ago. I love the x-files and would love for Mulder to be able to prove that there is extra-terrestrial life out there. I am also a big star trek fan including the new enterprise series. Well i don't want to bore everyone so i will stop here and just say hello to everyone else who does seti@home.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I rum seti@home because of my interest in the extra-terrestrial. I think it is a very interesting and possibly exciting subject. I do think that extraterrestrial life exists and those that do not must be very arrogant to think that this is the only planet in the vastness of the universe that is populated. The possible benefits of such a discovery is that we could swap technology withthem. The possible dangers are that they could want our planet for themselves and try to kill us off. Shades of V there! Yes i think we should transmit a beacon for others to find because it would show that we want
to be friendly and then they are more likely to contact us. The information that we should send should primarily say that we would like to be friends with them. That way we are more likely to attract them to us. I also think that it is about time that governments came clean with us and admitted that they have been covering up the truth for years but i don't suppose they will ever do that will they?
