Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe the SETI Project is very important. I would rather we find ET first before they contact us directly. The SETI Project has a set of guidelines to be used for First Contact which is more than any other organization has done on Earth.
Should we transmit a Beacon for others to find? I don't think we need to. All of the satellite traffic and TV communications are already being beamed into space.
