Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The following are answers to questions asked when creating your profile. I will try to sum the questions up. :)

Do you believe in Extra Terrestrials?

Absolutely! I think ET is out there, even if that means that ET is exactly like hewMONS in spaceships. I picture myself at Big Boys down the street from NBC in Burbank, sippin on a chocolate shake, mindin my own business, when JoeJoe the alien comes and sits down next to me and interviews me on the \\"Behavior of human beings when encountered by little green men at Bob\\'s Big Boy\\".

In all seriousness, I do believe that there are other living intelligent beings in the Universe. I think that it would be very interesting and hopefully enlightening if a meeting with such a people took place on a global scale here on Earth. That is, of course, assuming that we would be met by benign beings who were interested in learning about us as well. I suppose it is conceivable that a meeting similar to \\"War of the Worlds\\" could occur, in which case, the beings can stay where they are...Im not very interested in meeting them.

Should send a beacon out into space attracting attention?
I think that as humans we have an innate desire to learn. That means not only learning about ourselves but about others both on and off our planet. Yes, I think we should let whoever else is out there know that we are here. If that causes our demise, at least we went out with a bang. In letting others know that we are out there, I believe that we should only give the information required to help the other species know how to communicate with us. From there, we can work in baby steps.

Why do you use Setiathome
I like setiathome. I know there is a huge amount of data gathered out there that needs to be sorted through. I like knowing that I was one who helped in this effort.
