Personal background
Hmmm. Well. Most people would say I was the biggest bitch this side of the black stump. They would probably be right too. One thing is for sure and that is that at least I'm consistant and I don't play favourites. Although I do play with my food.

I enjoy geeking on IRC, cruising with my new Mac G4 1.67GHz 15" PowerBook, emailing my mobile blog at http://moblog.vampiress.net, downloading much data, hosting my own web servers, mail servers, name servers etc. and watching television. These days I'm a bit of a homebody and enjoy the confines of my home. Rarely do I go out to pubs or clubs because, well basically they bore me and are generally full of arrogant people who are in need of a stabbing to their eyeballs. Feel the love!

I am a Systems Administrator/Network Engineer/Network Administrator..... blah blah blah blah blah. I have recently moved over to a new company and its working out well. No longer do I need to suffer the arduous tasks associated with Internet Service Providers. Instead, I actually get to do some pretty creative stuff here and, low and behold, get to PLAN things and carry them out. That's a luxury.

Anyway, I've joined up with this LinuxChix group. Most seem to be a great bunch of gals but as per usual, there are always a few tools. I don't think it's irony that those tools tend to be the male species who for some reason enjoy signing up to a womens mailing list. Perhaps its their last bastion in telling us what to do and organising the way we should be. *ugh*

Somebody STOP me!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Wasn't this where I lined up for soup? I have no clue what this SETI thing is but doing something aswell related to weather. I dunno. The silly computers do it, not me. Thats all they're good for. Projects mostly suck. This one seems just as pointless as all the others but what the hell. Seemed like a good thing to do at the time. It also keeps me off the streets and holds me back from seeking world domination. That's a good thing. Right?
