I am a "JAKE OF ALL TRADES" but I specilise in computers, but at the moment I am working with a Multicultural Centre organiseing introduction computer classes for the community.
I have been doing this Seti@Home on and off since it all started
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. ET' exist because if we are the only intelligent life it would be a big
waste of space.
2. we should advertise ourselves because we have been doing it ever since
television was invented.
3. I run SETI@home because I like the idea of utilising the spare resources of
a computer while the user is not working with it.
The project is great because it would be impossible to analyse all data with
only a few computers, so using the Potential World Wide Processing power
speeds up date analysis.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
