Personal background
In my spare time, I process the work units by hand with my HP 48G calculator...

Here at work though, I've got about 70 computers running SETI@home as a command line service. Total of about 77GHz of Intel's finest. All the new computers we get for student labs, etc., will be running S@H service, 'cause they're so fast and nobody notices the process running in the background. That and they're idle for at least 16 hours a day...
My first 800 or so units were done on my home computer (300 then 650 then 800 then 1133MHz) running the screen saver. Apparently the command-line program is much faster, and that's what I use on all the computers that aren't mine ('cause I notice the lag)

22 x P4 1.8GHz

01 x P4 1.7GHz

01 X P4 1.6GHz

02 x P4 1.3GHz

07 x P3 1.0GHz

02 x P3 866MHz

32 x P3 733MHz

I feel really fortunate to have all these computers at my disposal. I see all these people that have been working in earnest for 3 years, and still only have as many units as I've done in 5 months... C'est la vie.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't have any spare money to donate, but I sure hope someone does. I don't wanna see this and SETI2 have to be scrapped because of money.
