Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It is certainly possible that there is life elsewhere in the Universe. This place is so immense that it would be odd if Earth were just a one hit wonder of the Cosmos.

Before the Wright Brothers, plenty of scientists were absoulutely certain that there was no way man would ever be able to fly in a machine, let alone enter space. The history of science is paved with theories proved wrong.

So maybe.

Anyway, even if this project doesn't yield any results, another marvellous thing has been achieved. And that is getting millions of people from just about every country in the world to cooperate. Which is nice.
