Profile: Alejandro Echeverria

Personal background
I live in Valparaiso, Chile. I am 23 years old.
I'm studying Mechanical Engineering at the "Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria (www.utfsm.cl).
I was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia and studied in the "Federico Froebel" German School.
My hobbies are to read Frank Herbert's Dune books, listening Techno Trance, celtic and Gothic music, and taking/editing digital pictures.

Of course, walking arround Valparaiso, it's hills, the sea and the weather combined make this place one of the very beautiest cities in Chile.
Anyone who wants to contact me can do it from my web page (just click over my name in the listings) =)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I know there are others somewhere, far away from here.

If we as humanity have done so many beautifull things like music, poetry, and many kinds of art, in all this time, imagine what have the others done in all this time!!!

In this planet there were many diferent cultures, they had some time with no contact with the rest of the world. They have depeloved many kinds of knowlodge, art, science. Today, what we are and have combiens many of this wisdom.

Now think about us as one of those ancient cultures, progressing by our own. Somewhere in the universe are other cultures growing up. Some day we will find them. Imagine all the beauty concentrated in that moment, all the new stuff we will have...

That is the main reason I'm here... I want that moment be here soon =)
