Profile: JagerDave

Personal background
I'm a long-time SETI member, though this isn't my first ID (some time usually passed between useage).
Presently, I'm located near Miami, Florida, USA. By training, I'm a network systems analyst, but now I'm an aspiring digital photographer (www.geocities.com/headwatersphoto).
I enjoy movies, reading, driving, traveling, adventure/RPG games, and of course, taking pictures.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that ETs exist. I am not confident that we'll actually be in contact/communication with them in MY lifetime, but I look at SETI as a valid use for my computer (I run it 24/7 except when I'm working on my photos or playing a CPU-intensive game).
Do I think that mankind should transmit a beacon? Yes, but considering that the nearest other star that might have a planet is over four LY away, it'll take forever for anyone to hear.
