About myself: my name is Fabio "Rex" Rezzonico, I'm a 35 years old Swiss guy. My mother tongue is italian, but I'm fluent also in german, french and english.
I'm a Ph.D. in biological sciences and I now work at the federal agricultural research station in Wädenswil.
My hobbies are astronomy, (uphill) cycling, cooking (and eating).

I don't know if we will ever contact an other civilisation, I think that the "Rare Earth" hypothesis is correct and, though life may be aboundant in the universe, intelligent life may not.
As a matter of fact I even doubt that intelligent life is aboundant on Earth!
But I think the search is still worth a try, because the scientific and philosophical implication a possible discovery are tremendous and the combined effort of all users should be an example of how humans should cooperate. |
