I am a family man. I enjoy spending time with my children. I like playing sports (basketball, baseball), computer games and now PS2 games. I work for a company that makes decorative logs for gas fireplaces www.hargrovegaslogs.com . I am sort of the inhouse IT/Network guy.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes I think ET exists. I think it would be an aweful waste of space (he he) if we were the only ones inhabiting it. Not to mention very vain. I think we will have contact through programs like SETI but not sure if it will be in my lifetime but hope it is. I hope the contact is a beneficial and peaceful one. I think if ET out there is more advanced than us it is waiting for the aproproate time to acknowledge us. If it is not it just can't tell were here yet. The benefits could be substantial just being able to trade knowledge.
2.Yes. Not sure.
3. I enjoy being able to contribute the computer time to something interesting and a little far out there. Kind of like searching for a dream or proof of something.
