Profile: Fernando Garduno (FerGaFe) - Encor

Personal background
I was born in 1968 in Durango, but I've been living in Chihuahua, Chih.
since 1990.
I work as the network administrator of a small Internet Service Provider.
I like to believe that I keep a portion of the wonderful Internet
working smootly, even when it might be a pretty small one.
Hobbies: swimming, reading (specially science fiction) and listening music
(techno-pop-electronic most of the time).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
About SETI
The first time I ever heard of SETI was in "Cosmos" series, a long time ago.
Back then, I decided there was nothing I could do about it, and I went to computers.
A couple of years ago, I saw the SETI@home screen saver in a colleage computer, and I was
glad that a proyect like this were real.
I don't think that we can hear any intelligent ET signal without a permanent
and systematic search. We have just started "listening", so it would be the greatest
coincidence of all that we find a signal in the short term. Maybe some hundreds
or thousands of years of uninterrupted searching... :)
Now that we started, let's keep it going...
BTW, I started trying to catch up with a German girl named Christine Désirée.
