I am 18 years old, and live in Colorado. Currently I am running SETI on a 2.8ghz P4. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
It would be almost impossible for life not to exist somewhere else in this, or even other universes. Some people think that we should have had a sign from them by now, but if you think about it logically, they would have to be very close to Earth. It takes more than three years for signals to reach the closest star other than our sun. We have only been brodcasting signals for about 85 years, so our existance would only be detectable a short distance from here in cosmic terms. The unfortunate part about that is that if we ever find anyone else, or someone finds us, the life may have been wiped out on that planet by then. |
