Profile: Larry Mabe

Personal background
I'm from the Houston area. I grew up here while they were building the NASA facilities in the area. I was in the Navy and stationed on the island Antigua in the early sixties, near one of the tracking stations down range from the Cape. I have always had an interest in anything space related. SETI@home has offered me an opportunity to participate, in a small way, in the exploration of space. I am now IT manager for the City of La Porte and enjoy boating as a hobby.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Finding ET is a "when" not "if".
I feel that our search efforts should be passive at this time.
We have enough transmissions leaking through our atmosphere to let anyone know where we are.

My one suggestion is this: When good candidates are found for further research, the people that processed them be listed. If that is at all possible.
