Personal background
Personal Details.
I am a student at University of
Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow (Poland) on the Computer Science faculty. I was born in 1980 and lived in Poland all my life. I found out about this project during my studdies. I even had a project which involved creating server and clients for matrix proccesing over the network.
Hobbies.
I don't have time for everything which interests me, but particulary I do some programming (Linux - GNU), building web pages, photography. I'm also helping my parents with running their Internet Cafe. Among these I enjoy swimming and having holidays around lakes or on the see side.
Hardwere
For myself I'm using a P4 2.0 GHz PC. There are also two other computers running SETI@home clients: Celeron 1 GHz which is a firewall in my parent's Internet Cafe and 1 GHz Athlon - the staff's computer in the same place.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It's quite natural for me that life exists somewhere in this universe, outside our planet. It's quite hard to tell if they've developed radio... But if we are looking for the intelligent life - I think it's the right way of doing it :)

I suppose we should transmit something for others to find us. It should be anything that would be regular and individual - so they can distinguish that from the noise.
Why do I run SETI@home? Well, two heads are better than one, four are better then two, and so on... Maybe because of people like me, thousands of us, you have quite fast CPU out there :)
