Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think that life in other planets exists, to discover it? I really don´t know, it's kind of difficult to search in someplace vary big like space, and in continue movement. If we counld find, i think it would be very exciting, to know new technologies new ways of life, new enviroments, anything to help us to go foward in evolution, but everything comes with a shadow... new ways of destruction, domination and diseases, the human mind can use almost anything to the best or to the worst.
I don't know exactly why I´m running Seti@home, It just seemed to be a good thing to do, why not?
I think it would be dificult to confirm any king of radio wave, because it probably had been launched milions or bilions years ago, so if we find a signal and put the radar at the same point again, the place would be bilions light years away... how to know to compensate this distance if we do not know how distant this sign had come, and maybe the culture that had launched the signal could have disapeared now...
