| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Read "Contact" and saw movie, then downloaded software which I run at home and
at work. Although I believe the chances of discovering ETI are low, what's the
alternative? I hope we're NOT the only intelligence and that the world will
react positively to the proof of ETI (see the movies "Abyss" and "2001"). We
may want to hold off initiating any contact with ETI, however, since we don't
seem to get along very well among ourselves.
