Personal background |
I am a bored technical representative for one of the largest broadband ISPs in the USA, although I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (go figure, with the exchange rate, why wouldn't they set up shop in Canada?) I am 25, happily married, and hopefully my current hobby (which is being a musician) will make me enough money some day that I can get out of this city. That's all about me for now. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. I think that aliens will find us, and not us finding them (although there's always a chance we will find them first :p) I do believe that they exist. I hope that when they do come here that they have a sense of humor because it will be a funny thing when they land, step out of their space craft to say Hi to mankind, and then I sneak behind them and take their space craft for a joy-ride. I'm just kidding....I'd ask them first :)
2. I think we have already set beacons. Of course, not intentionally. A higher race would easily pick up on all of our past radio and tv broadcast signals and trace them back to our planet.
3. I run SETI@Home just to help out the SETI program. No other reason really.
