Personal background
Hi,

My name is Lakshman Bijanki and I live in Bangalore, India. I am a seti@home
participant since September 1999.

I became a licensed amateur radio operator in 1982 (Amateur callsign VU2LBW) and earned membership to the prestigious DX Century Club of the American Radio Relay League in 1988. I was the youngest Indian amateur to receive this membership at that time.

My interests in amateur radio have been varied; morse, teletype, packet radio
and over-the-air IP networking. I am the volunteer IP address coordinator
for amateur radio IP addresses in India.

One of my most exciting experiences was to make a packet radio contact
with the STS-35 mission of the space shuttle Columbia in. I was the only
Indian radio amateur to make a contact during that mission.

I am an avid amateur astronomer and a fan of F1 racing.
