Personal background
Hi Folks!!!
I was born and raised in Winter Haven, fl U.S.A. I love it so much That I'm still here.(well, the fact that cape canaveral only being an hour away also is a plus.I love the shuttle launchings.) I'm a 36 year old Native Floridian who drives a wheelchair and stretcher van around for a family owned/operated business. It feeds my family rather well and besides, I'm rather exceptional at this job since I stand 6 feet and 10 inches tall and weigh 300 Lbs. (and no, I can't play a lick of basketball, believe me, I tried in High School. I looked like bigfoot trying to break dance! So I gave it up quickly.)
My favorite interests are Computers, Astronomy, Ticklin' the Ivory!(Playin' piano for the layman),and hopin' like hell we find something other than our own existance out there among the stars......
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What do I think about SETI? Well, It's the first truly world wide effort to answer a question that we've all been asking ourselves for ages."Is there anybody out there?" That in itself is a sufficient reason for the existance of SETI. But some of the most wonderful bi-products of this endeavor are the ones less talked about. For example, People of nations all over the world are meeting for the first time and realizing their dreams and convictions are the same. Everyday, millions of new people are introduced to each other through the power of the internet in one belief that someday we, and them, will find each other. Seti is not only an explorer, It's a uniter!
