Personal background
I am a 38 year old male Aussie, That explains everything I think.

I work as a Contract Supervisor at an I.T company in Canberra.
Hobbies.: Well sailing would have to be my lifes hobbie, drinking is my mouth's problem. Apart from that the typical Aussie endeavours prevail, feet up on Sat/Sun watchin the cricket or footy with a few VB's and any other high achievement, active participation sport I can do from the couch with an esky.

Why am I processing Wu's?
Cause there has to be something somewhere that we cannot see. I just hope that when the human race finds it, we can appreciate it enough to learn and understand it. The other main reason is it gives me the wonderful CLI to drink my beer too. Just wish I could have 1 beer for every line flashing past on my screen instead of 5 for every Wu completed.

Great Inventions for SETI@home.
Add Sound and strobe lights I reckon we could get Set@home installed at the closest disco. Imagine millions of people boppin away to ET tunes. Kewl stuff.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
I definatley do think Et's are there somewhere and a lot closer than we really think. If you saw some of the females I have dated then you would believe they are here already too.

If so, when and how will humans discover it?
I believe it is already a proven fact and that we just havent been fully informed.

What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
I dont think there is much danger, I think any other race out there will be just as inquisitive as us. They just want to know and have answered the same questions as we all do. The only thing is as they have already found us, they know that the human race is a danger to themselves. Would you come forward armed with that knowledge.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
Definatley, hopefully in time we the human race will change and be a worthwile contact for any Et's to want to know.

If so, what information should we send?
The Woodstock Festival broadcast, at least they can then see we are a peaceful Race. Even though we are drugged up to the eyeballs.

Why do you run SETI@home? Because it helps
