Hi, I am 40 years old and live in London with my partner and two children James aged 17 and christopher aged 10, we are all crazy about computers, surfing, online gamming and of course the Simpsons. in my spare time I enjoy remixing music producing and spinning vinyle at my local club. I have had a keen interest in space and sky watching and was thrilled back in august of 99 to witness natures most awesome spectical a total eclipse of the sun an experience I will never forget even until this day I can not find the words to express the excitement and the intence emotion that rushed through my mind body and soul, I expect nothing will ever make me feel like that other than when mankind discovers that life does exist on other worlds.

For as long as I can remember I have looked up at the stars and wonderd which one of them may have life on it, inteligent or not the odds of us being alone amongst all the billions of stars in our own milkyway alone I believe to be to small, possible as it may be I refuse to believe we are alone, one day I hope in my lifetime my question is there life out there! may be answered so with this burning dessire to know the truth I am happy to devote my cpu time to help contribute towards all the hard work the SETI group are doing.
1. Why do you run SETI@home? Well I run Seti@home because its the only way I can contribute to helping manking find life elsware. I do not have the funds and the tech to do it on my own.
2. What are your views about the project? My views are very simple, if we dont find them first they will one day find us, so lets be prepared for better or for worse.
3. Any suggestions? yes we should be sending our own signal of who we realy are, last thing we need is some civilisation viewing our TV broadcasts and deciding from that what our species is like, could you imagine what kind of first impression that would give an alien race? |
