Profile: Claus Iversen

Personal background
Hi all you SETI people :-)

My name is Claus, I'm living in Denmark. I am a software engineer, so I spent lot of time at the computer. It has plenty of CPU-power, so I have decided to donate some CPU-time to SETI.

I was born in 1975 and I'm living in a small village, some miles North of the German/Danish border.

I like science, especially space-science and the aspect of life in the Universe.

Best wishes from Denmark,
Claus
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home, because a PC has got plenty of rest. (Note the taskmanager shows 95% idle most of the time).

I find it fascinating to join thousands and thousands of computers to a single network. SETI@home is a good way to utilize an idle CPU and to help science.

If life is proven elsewhere, it would be fantastic to know, we are not alone in this wast Universe.
Even though life shows to be unique on this planet, it tells us to take good care of Earth. - No matter how the outcome is, SETI@home will not fail - it will only help mankind to advance.
