Personal background
I'm a 27 year old IT Coordinator from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. IT Coordinator basically means I'm paid to be a computer nerd. I'm quite interested in everything and anything to do with computers or electronics. I've just started to teach myself some programming, which will hopefully help me along as my knowledge continues to grow in my 2 favorite OS's: Linux and OpenBSD.

Of course, I have found other interests besides computers. Right now I am in the middle of restoring my father's old '79 Ford 3/4 ton. I also enjoy music. I like to DJ with my Tech. 1200s as well as play the drums and guitar.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I have always been facinated by space and by the posibility of there being life out there somewhere... perhaps there is even someone else in a far off galaxy looking up at the sky just as I do, and wondering what we all wonder.

I think this project is great, and the potential is excellent with the BOINC client.

My only suggestion is to move to the 4.0 client so that I can start running my OpenBSD client I compiled from CVS! ;)
