SETI@home: a clever way of allowing anybody to support an interesting and challenging science project.
It doesn't really matter what I THINK about the existence of extraterrestrials, what matters is the scientifically relevant question (are we alone in the universe or not?), and the experiment, designed to find an answer (SETI).
And I am more than happy to help (by analysing data) in finding this answer.
(... even though, after analysing the first data set, I had to realise that I am probably the owner of the slowest computer in the universe... :-) |
