I'm a computer programmer who specializes in telecommunications, mostly IVR and Intelligent Network equipment. Currently I'm working in the South of England in conjunction with (but not for!) IBM.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life definitely exists somewhere out there. It's just a case of finding them and making contact. I just hope that when we do make first contact it's conducted by a normal person and not a politician!
We should definitely be sending out some sort of beacon but it's just a shame I'm not going to be around to hear the reply.
