Born in Providence, R.I in 1940, grew up in MA near Cape Cod. Present age
is 61. Worked as an engineer in a Miami, FL TV station for 35 years. Have
been an active Amateur Radio (Ham) operator since 1955. Married with four
children and ten grandchildren. Plan to retire in 2002 and do some
travelling with camper just purchased. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Firmly believe that extraterrestrial life exists. Possibility exists that
our species was planted here by another intelligence. If so, maybe that
intelligence is looking for or watching us. For that reason, we should both
transmit a beacon and continue searching the skies via the SETI@home project.
I have two desktops and a notebook running SETI@home and feel a sense of
accomplishment with each packet processed. Hopefully in my lifetime, we will
discover another intelligence beyond Earth. I would be thrilled if one of
my packets should include signs of intelligence. |
