There is nothing about me that anyone else would be the slightest bit interested in, so I'm not going to divulge anything.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Does extraterrestrial life exist? Of course it does.
When and how will we discover it? Who says we haven't already.
As for benefits and dangers, the benefits are endless and the only danger is our own foolishness.

Should we transmit a beacon? Definitely. It should be a warning to any intelligent life that we go out of our way to destroy anything that we don't understand, or anything that scares us, or is different from us. We even destroy each other for those same reasons. We are a burden to our own planet, all we leave in our wake is death and destruction. We won't stop until our entire planet is a barren wasteland where no life will be able to survive. Yes, we are that stupid. Stay away from this planet until we are extinct, unless you can help and guide us to grow up and mature (no easy task seeing as though we will try to hamper your efforts at every turn).

I run SETI@home pretty much as a benchmarking program.

I haven't formed any views of the project as I have yet to discover what the project's intentions are in the event of extraterrestrial contact.
