Our family unit consists of the two of us, 5 moggies and a staffy X rotti. We are both students, Bek is doing Multimedia at Murdoch University and Josh is doing Software Engineering at Curtin University of Technology. Together we make the beginnings of a games compendium that will hopefully take off sometime when we have time to actually work on the game concepts we have.
We are currently working on a comic series -- keep an eye out for info on it ;)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Without meaning too much offence to the religious fanatics (who seem to utilise religion as a form of social control as opposed to a system of beliefs) it is painfully arrogant to assume that what's on our planet is the only life in the universe.
Though seriously -- I'm not sure if I want to be found by intelligent beings. The human race is entirely too embarrassing and probably shouldn't be reaching for the stars if it can't solve problems on one miserable planet.
Though having said that ... hopefully whatever we find is smarter than us (as per every science fiction thing in existance) and not less or same...we might learn something then. Maybe.
