Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. ET DOES EXIST.
Humans will be able to discover it. When and How depends on computing power, ideas, discoveries.
Benefits: just a bigger world, possible new physics too.
Dangers: wars.

2. A beacon is good. It should be something we don't really rely too much on. I mean, some info about the Earth and its life, but not critical info.

3. I run it because I think we could all make a difference, and because I am curious about other lifes. I wish my grand-grand children see that life one day, if we will not see it.

PS. I have about 4.5 GHz of power that I'm donating all the time, not only when idle. I wish I could have more, but only time could tell. :)
