Currently living in Nanaimo, beautiful B.C.
Once upon a time,I was a strong, healthy, athletic woman who spent her working life working various jobs at the telephone company.
After 27 years I decided that enough was enough ( I had never really enjoyed working there )and I took the buyout they were offering.
I opened a ceramic store but after 2 years it fell apart mostly because I also did. Took a year to get diagnosed - M.S. or multiple sclerosis for those of you that didn't know. Thank goodness for our federal Canada Pension Plan which pays me a disability stipend.
I heard about the SETI site by watching the Discovery Channel.
Whilst on my other favourite site ( HSX ) I heard about it again and was able to get connected. Thanks Gaurav for helping me.
My other hobby is my HO train set that I built myself on a 4X6 table. 99% done but could tinker on it forever.
My other big hobby is scrapbooking which came because of an interest in genealogy.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Because I have my home computer on cable, it's very easy to let SETI run all the time and watch the results go by...
Who knows what the results might be?
I used to be a big fan of sci-fi fiction 'til my eyes packed in, so now I settle for movies and TV shows.
It's not the same, I know, but it shows my belief system in that I think it's just a matter of time. In my life time, I doubt it but some day.
