My Nickname is Miko, i'm "some" more than 40 years young.
I like the nature (we're living in a little valley in the Austrian Alps) and their animals.
By a working-accident "under earth"(20 years ago today - i worked in a Coalmine in the deep of 1000 meters...) i lost my right underarm. Now i'm a early-pensioner (everytime without money enough...).
In real life, my proffession (a big hobby) is the Beekeeping!

[b]My best idea the last years was the "Crunching Family"(see: the Webside),a european (the german speaking area) Help- and Userservice (+team) for cruncher and other computerfans.
a wiki, a blog, the Boinc Skin Downloadcenter a great messageboard witch archivates everything around BOINC and all crunching projects, some of the highest rated BOINC online-helper...
that's past time...
someone hacked our onlinefeatures. they are destroid and we lost the fun helping others...!!!
so today the Crunching Family is a small team and some user are active crunching. thats all.
our homepage is just one site with a shout box. no forum, no wiki, no other tools... |

My favorite projects are the Space-Projects.
There is so mutch (interseting stuff) to find out!
Okay, some projects fight against illneses and try to find medicaments, this is very usefull. But there is no adventure, they are just for safing "dark-Lab's" many... I belive that no rat or no white mouse lives just one day longer if i crunch protein-projects or not!
I'm Seti user since May 1999 and so there is a kind of "private tradition" to use SETI.
After BOINCs Beta Tests my Seti reports every try to log in: "Master file fetch failed" and this for a long time (and nobody can't fix that thing...). It was a bug on my system and i reinstalled the OS WinXP!
I was diasppointed about some Seti Classic User and a bit about Berkeley.
Many User changed to Seti1 just a few days before the final End of Classic.
Berkeley did just in this days works at their servers...
Both is the reason that nobody con load WUs for several days, i think!
Sutch things would'nt be happend if everybody shows a bit "good will"!
BOINC is a great thing! In any ways. So it's normal that there are some problems, specially in the first activ months. It belongs to the "thing" to make mistakes. (Berkeley and the user) but please not each possibile one... |
