| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I believe in the possibility of other life in the Universe. If we have learn anything from our own planet is that life can evolve in the most unlikely places and there are a lot of unlikely places as well as likely places in the Universe. If extraterrestrial life exists we will discover it by listening for the, looking for then and when we have the technology to travel and explore outside of our solar system. Of coursed they could be doing the same and maybe they will discover us. The benefit of such a discovery is the exchange in technology that would possibly change everything for us. The danger would be Man our own paranoia some time get the best of us and I hope that if contact is made our scientist or man as a whole not be in a rush to judge and dissect if not we haven already done so?. I run seti@home to assist in the gathering of the information being collect for faster processing who know we may have been contacted already. |
