Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think extraterrestrial life does exist. I am not sure if we will ever discover it, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't look. I see no dangers. If they kill us because we found them they could have just as easily found us a week later and killed us anyway.
I think we should transmit a beacon. Just have it say something that we wish to learn from each other, and hope that they don't get bored with us.
I run SETI@home to help find whatever may be out there. It's also a good way to test out a computer. And name something better my computer could be doing in the spare time.
