Hi,
I was born in 1969, right the best year in the last century, cause it was the year the first man stood on the moon.
After studying eletrotechnics in Siegen / Germany, I am working for a company, which develops and sells vision systems for industrial use.asentics
My hobbies ... well, everything which belongs to electronics, all nature siences, photography, history, asia, my Paludarium, robotics, steam engines, Monty Python and cooking (anyone for Sushi ;) )

Well, is there a reason why there shouldn't be any life outside? Is earth really the place where the human life came from? What about the cambrian life forms (Burgess Shelf) like Anomalocaris or Opabinia. If these species were terrestrial life, why shouldn't the current terrestrial life had come from outside? ... Hmh Opabinia, five eyes could be nice for watching stars ...
Dangers and benefits ... The greatest danger to me is, that we will get in contact with ET and doesn't recognize it! 'Huh, what an itchy spider! Darling squeeze it for me!...' Ten Day's later we'll sent the first interplanetary ambassador back to it's homeworld in an X-Prize II spacecraft....
If we should transmit a beacon ... don't know! If someone wants to find us he will probably do so. Even so I think there is no danger for such a signal. Maybe someone will visit us after receiving the signal, but the only danger I see is that we either have to pay for an intergalactic Pizza delivery or that ET asks for fuel to get back home as soon as possible!
Why I run SETI? Have YOU never dreamed of travelling to the stars? Or getting in contact with a nice and/or cute ET ;)
