Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
Yes, the law of averages are in our favor, the universe is to large for there not to be life out there. Humans will find it one day, I just hope that it is within my lifetime. The benefits of find other life forms will be technology sharing and life experences, the danage is fear itself.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send? Beacon? we've done so with the voyager spacecraft, sort of, as for a constant trasmiting terrestrail based beacon, I'll have to think about that, (remember fear above?) some people out there may not like this option.

Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions? I run SETI because I want to help fine other life forms, I strongly beleave in this project and like being a part of it.
