Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that if you just consider the numbers, statistically there must be life (possibly intelligent) out there somewhere. That said, if they are like us, a long way from interstellar travel, and are brave enough to want to contact other worlds, then this would be a logical way to do it. If they are advanced enough to be capable of interstellar travel, then they are undoubtedly smart enough not to stop here. However, I suppose that there is no harm in asking; and I do wish you the best of success!
PS. The photo is of Myself, My infant son Cam and my dog August (unfortunately my wife Chris was taking the photo!).
