Unlikely as I think the possibility of finding ET, this way, during my lifetime, I think it may be a higher probability than finding a less communicative ET on Mars in my lifetime.
I'd rather they went to Europa.
But if they find ET, this way, there will be a lot of religions that have a lot of explaining to do.
