Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti@home is a first start for distributed computing, and I am happy to give my support to this concept by running the program.

I also believe that there could be extra terrestrial life, and although the chance of this program finding it is small, combining the efforts of the participants makes the chance large enough to be worthwhile. There could be other uses for the data created, the website mentions that it is used to examine hydrogen distribution throughout the universe, and it is possible that other uses will be found.

I'm running this primarily on an AMD Phenom II X4 custom built machine. 3 others joined the group Tab Perfect, named after a website we created a long while ago. Both the website and their contributions ended years ago.
