Personal background
I'm 66, married, retired and have enjoyed astronomy since age 12.
Carl Sagan's books and programs interested me in the SETI project
hence, in 2001, bit the bullet and joined in. I'm amazed that, by
November 2005 my home computer(s) have spent nearly 800,000 minutes
doing SETI work. And I'm just a small player in this game.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Figured SETI could make good use of the unused cycles
of my home PC and I love the thought of contributing to the
possibility of contact with others "out there".
