My name is Joe and I have been working with computers since i was 10. I am currently enrolled in a microsoft certification program which so far has earned me an MCP(microsoft certified professional)title. I have been using the SETI program for a while and I enjoy seeing how much work my computer goes through to do a Work Unit. I plan on expanding my processor power to a second computer that will be quiet running and be able to run all day, because I only currently run one computer and 2 client programs for a very short time a day.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There definitaly has to be life somewhere out in this vast universe, I just can't accept the fact that we could be the only life in the infinite sized space. With time someone will discover intelligent life somewhere far far away (or vice-versa). I really love the idea of my computer or computers being part of a supercomputer made up of other peoples computers all over the world.
