| Hi there, live in The Netherlands, down south (Waalwijk). I'm 18 years old and still studying. Joined SETI for a school-project and really like it now. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I'm almost sure extraterrestial life exists...only dunno about intelligent life...Finding signals means intelligent life...but the dangers/benefits would be almost nothing, cause if we find something, the civilisation behind the signals is probably already gone.
2. I'm not sure about the beacon...Are we trying to find them, or are we letting them find us...
3. I began running SETI for a schoolproject, but now i'm running it just to let my pc do something when i'm gone. And that's pretty much of the time...so i make some nice CPU hours a day ;). Too bad its on an old pc (P3 1ghz). I also do it cause you're never sure of not finding anything...there's still a chance and it would be a pitty to miss it. |
