Personal background
I'm 54 years old and have been a Seti@home user since 1999. I currently run the SETI program on five of my own PC's.

As a child I enjoyed reading Science Fiction and am interested in all forms of science. I don't seem to find the time to read many novels anymore but am a voracious reader of magazines, newspapers and browse the internet for topics that interest me at the moment.

PC's were my passion until I discovered kayaking. Now every opportunity I get, I go out paddling year round. Kayaking has become such an addiction, that I often play hookey from work just to be out on the water in peace and solitude. I don't punch a time clock, so I have the freedom to come and go as I please.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti@home because I believe it's a wonderful science experiment. And to help contribute to the possibility of finding ETI would be a world changing discovery. It could quite possibly bring the world together as no other incident could.
