Profile: Robert van den Eijk

Personal background
Hi,

I’m Robert van den Eijk and I live in The Netherlands (Noord-Brabant), I was born the 9th of November 1977. My hobby’s are to play games (3D shooters and racing), to socialise, to make music (synthesiser, drum computer, etc, etc), to drive my car, to drink special beers, science, nice weather (not in The Netherlands) and many more.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that there is something out there, but I have my doubts of finding it with the SETI project as how it is now. Of course there is a slight chance of finding an intelligent signal but there is also a chance that our technology isn’t advanced enough to pick up that (theoretical interstellar) signal we desperately want to find. But maybe if we search hard enough with as many people and computer power we can get together, one day it will happen. And if that one day comes, I’ll be proud to have participated in that historical project called SETI@HOME. But for now we just have to crunch those wu’s!!!
