I am retired and living in southern california. I enjoy reading science fiction, trout fishing, and hiking. The movie "Contact" rekindled my interest in SETI and now, like many others , I'm "addicted". I have built 6 different computers since starting to crunch seti classic, all AMD based. I am now participating in 20 projects all together.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I firmly believe that we can not possibly be alone. There are too many stars for this to be the only one with a planet that developed life.
One day we will contact extraterrestrial life, and unless our agression and stupidity scares the hell out of them, I think we will co-exist peacefully.
I run Seti@home just to help out, but who knows, maybe I'll be the one to help find ET.
